What is FIRSTWA?
FIRSTWA (FIRST of Washington) is a non-profit organization that helps students learn about science and technology. Though our primary area of operation is based in Washington state, our group of volunteers are heavily involved in programs across all of North America.
Our goal is to inspire students to find a passion in the world of science and technology. We do this by implementing a series of technology contests, more specficially team based robotics contests, for students K-12. We work closely with a national organization called FIRST to develop the program and implement new and innovative ways to create an environment where students can explore the world of science and technology.

If you are new to FIRST, then all of the websites that we send you to can be a little confusing. We apologize about that. We run an international volunteer organization with regional committees actually implementing the programs. Each local committee has their own website.
You are currently on the FIRSTWA.ORG website. FIRSTWA is a local group based in the Seattle area that implements FIRST in the state of Washington. Our organization is the official group doing FIRST in the state of Washington. Our website is locally controlled and maintained for Washington State only.
A common question is why can't I login to FIRSTWA? The usual answer is that you may have registered on the FIRST Lego League website, or perhaps on the USFIRST website. We do not share usernames or passwords with either of those systems.
You are welcome to register a user account on our website. This will enable you access to our direct contact information, and some other resources we don't publish to the outside world.
