Please contact your local school to see if they have a FIRST LEGO League team established. If not, consider starting one yourself!
Once a team has been identified in order to participate in FIRST LEGO League the coach or team representative must go through the following steps:
National Registration through FIRST opens in May. Registration will close when all slots are filled. This usually happens sometime after mid-September. Please note that FIRST LEGO League materials (Robot Set and Field Setup Kit) must be ordered by this deadline and are subject to availability. FIRST LEGO League teams will receive:
- An official team number
- Coaches handbook
- FIRST DVD and research project training DVD
Only FIRST sells the field setup kit that FIRST LEGO League teams need to participate in the program each year. Teams can elect to purchase their robot set at a discounted rate from FIRST. Robots are reused annually, but a new theme field setup kit is released each season with the annual challenge.
Please click here for national registration.
Once the national registration is complete the coach or team representative must register with FIRST Washington. This registration and payment step will open in October 2016.
For information on cost or if you have additional questions please check out our FAQ page. Once you have made a decision to start a team please check out our Team Resources Tab for more information.
FIRST Washington registration fees are non-refundable even if an event has been cancelled due to weather or situations out of FIRST Washington’s control.
